Welcome to the Heartland District .....
The Heartland District of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) represents 53 member Unitarian Universalist congregations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio and over 7,700 member UUs.

We use our resources to promote and develop strong, growing congregations that interact with other UU congregations, their communities, the District, and the UUA. We have program staff, consultants and coordinators whose job it is to make your job as congregational leaders easier. Our job is to support you—the member congregations—and help you—individuals—find yourself at home in one of those congregations.

The Heartland District was formed in 2000 from a combination of the Unitarian Universalist District of Michigan (UUDOM) and the Ohio Valley Unitarian Universalist District (OVUUD).  The Heartland District is one of 19 Unitarian Universalist districts in the nation, all of which exist to help congregations seek and achieve best practices.
