Welcome
to the Heartland District...The
Heartland District of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA)
represents 55 member Unitarian Universalist congregations
throughout
Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio with over 7,500 member UUs. As
part of the MidAmerica Region, the Heartland
District is in partnership with the Central Midwest and Prairie Star
districts to broaden the scope of services and programs which are made
available to our members.
We use our resources to promote and develop strong,
growing congregations that interact with other UU congregations, their
communities, the District, and the UUA. We have program staff and
consultants whose job it is to make your job as congregational leaders
easier. Our job is to support you - the member congregations - and
help you - the individuals - find yourself at home in one of those
congregations.
The Heartland District was formed in 2000 from a
combination of the Unitarian Universalist District of Michigan (UUDOM) and
the Ohio Valley Unitarian Universalist District (OVUUD). The Heartland
District is one of 19 Unitarian Universalist districts in the nation, all of
which exist to help congregations seek and achieve best practices.
We hope you enjoy your journey through our website and
easily find the information and connections you seek. If you don't
find what you're looking for, please get in touch with us.
In faith,
Rev. Dr. Lisa Presley
District Executive
